With its roots dating back to 1887 in Denver, Colorado, United Way is a fundraising and community impact network of 1,800 charitable organizations in more than 40 countries. Supported by the leadership of United Way Worldwide, United Ways operate in local communities to identify needs and create solutions and raise funds, utilizing the time and talents of volunteers too numerous to count. United Ways work closely with company partners to manage activities such as Day of Caring and Annual Workplace Giving Campaigns, where payroll giving is the hallmark of fundraising efforts.
