Software as a Service

SaaSSoftware as a Service, or “SaaS”, is a software licensing and delivery model whereby the user subscribes to the software for defined periods of time (monthly, quarterly, annually), and the provider delivers the software via the Internet from a central hosting facility or data center. Due to the remote location of the computers that house the software applications and store the data, SaaS software is often referred to as being delivered “in the cloud”.

SaaS is a common software model for many business services, including software to manage CSR programs by a CSR vendor.
