Global Reporting Initiative

The Global Reporting Initiative, or “GRI”, is an independent, international organization that established and maintains the Sustainability Reporting Standards, a set of global best practices for reporting on economic, environmental, and social issues. Established in 1997, GRI reports that today 93% of the world’s largest 250 companies report on sustainability performance, while it is estimated that more than 7,500 organizations worldwide use GRI guidelines for sustainability reporting.
