Federated Campaign

The term ‘Federated Campaign’ refers to an Annual Workplace Campaign where giving options are organized by one or more Federations representing charities, typically organized by cause or issue. For example, a Federated Campaign might offer employee-donors the ability to give to Federations such as America’s Charities, Community Health Charities, Earthshare and local United Ways, as well as to the member charities of those organizations.

An alternative means of organizing an Annual Workplace Campaign is to offer an ‘Open Campaign’, where employee-donors are offered the ability to give to any 501c3 charity(ies) of their choice.
